Given a trumpet at an early age, Marshall fell in love with
music and the instrument itself. He has dedicated the majority
of his life to the art of music and continues to do so through
performing and teaching the craft he loves so much.
Marshall performed, as a soloist, with the Carolina Crown Drum
and Bugle Corps from 2003 to 2007, where he toured and performed
all across the country. After five years as a performer, he
began teaching the Corps in 2008, and is still an active staff
member with the Corps. Along with teaching the Drum Corps,
Marshall also works with the Nation Ford High School band as
well as teach privately.
Marshall received his Bachelor's degree in Music Performance
from Winthrop University. While there, he studied with Dr. Ian
Pearson and Dr. Mark Dulin. He is also currently a member of the
Carolina Olde English Wind Ensemble, affiliated with Winthrop
University. Marshall is also a member of Pi Kappa Lambda
National Music Honor Society.
