 Kristy
Marett has a lifelong background as a musical performing artist.
She began performing as a vocalist at age twelve in an acoustic
act with her then eleven-year-old guitarist friend. The duo
received local acclaim, winning talent contests and playing live
on radio shows. She had formal vocal training while still in
high school, and received the Chorus/Choir Medal at graduation.
Kristy
went on to perform as a member of several professional bands and
combos that recorded, played locally and toured the southeast,
notably, as lead vocalist for the show band, Tight Squeeze, and
was offered a recording contract by Eddie Cornelius.
As one of
the front singers in Ocean Breeze,
Kristy brings a dynamic of both energy and softness to the
band’s sound.
